There is a Vietnamese restaurant on Pichelsdorfer Straße in Wilhelmstadt that serves delicious food that will instantly transport your taste buds to Asia. The interior is really nice, although it does have a bit of an old-school feel to it. However, this only adds to its charm and gives the place a cosy, nostalgic ambience. The decor, with its touches of traditional elements, creates a warm and authentic Vietnamese atmosphere. This is a family-run restaurant where the grandmother and little granddaughter run around during the day. It's definitely my favourite Asian restaurant in Spandau.
The other day, I had the pho soup with tofu, lemongrass, bamboo sprouts and glass noodles to cure a cold. Not only was it the best I've ever had, but it also worked wonders — just like the chicken soup my mum used to make when I was little. My friends are devoted fans of the crispy duck with rice and peanut sauce, and I can never leave without indulging in the best dessert: baked bananas with honey. I go there with friends or whenever I need a pick-me-up. Enjoy!

I am a big fan of their pistachio maritozzo which is a soft Roman bun filled with cream and topped with crushed pistachios. It's absolutely amazing, and not overwhelmingly sweet.

One word to describe Macondo? Bustling! It's not the place if you need a quiet space to work, but it's nice if you want to have it all: work, play, wine, and coffee.
