Delicatesse Declerc will offer you all the cheesiness you've been missing in the heart of Ixelles. Soft creamy, old, blue, any type of cheese you might think of you will be able to find it here. On top of that, the multilingual shopkeeper pours his heart into every order. Ask him what his favorite of the day is and he will happily chat with you about his passion.
Is cheese not really your thing? He also sells some charcuterie and even pre-made apéro like boulettes, cheese fritters, and more. Jam from the local farmers and some other goodies can also be found here.
I usually pass by on the weekend after my trip to the Asian store opposite Declerc where I stock up on curry paste and cooking wine. Then I make a little neighborly chat half in Dutch, half in French about events coming up like Eurovision, the football World Cup final, or big film festival down the street and feel like I can almost call myself a real Bruxelloise.
