Flamme is a restaurant and traiteur in one, the take away part is all about grill (sausages), and the restaurant serves small plates to share. The place used to be called Saucisse before. This is why you will also find sausage on the menu, even the water bottles are ceramic sausages.
At the deli they keep it simple - here you can choose between an assortment of sausages that are then prepared in front of you on the grill, over the fire. They go in a bun or in a plate with some sauce and vegetables. The rolls come from Boulengier, a famous baker in Brussels, and the meat comes from Dierendonck, a famous Belgian butcher known for quality meat.
Besides the sausages, they also have a delicious range of fresh vegetables (grilled, smoked, raw, etc.) that you can choose from at 2.50 euros per 100 grams.
The restaurant has a small menu that changes every now and then. The plates are to share and there is a choice between different types of vegetables, meat and fish.
It is a great experience and a very cosy place to have lunch or dinner.
This new, high-quality place is an extra reason to come and hang out in this neighbourhood around Morichar Square.
