You might have been reading about my love for Brussels and the fact that people don't take themselves too seriously. A "zwanzer" is a typical nickname for the inhabitants of Brussels. It means someone who's always kidding about everything, someone who enjoys company, good food and a couple of good beers or wines.
This place is made for zwanzers, for people who like to sit down, relax and enjoy fresh food with some friends. Les Petits Bouchons is situated in the Uccle area, which is not so close to the city center but you can reach it by tram.
This place is a typical Brussels "bistro", with a lot of wood, some mirrors and old-skool lighting and the most beautiful counter. The menu is a selection of traditional dishes with a twist of typical Belgian food.
Tom, who is the owner and chef and his wife are the most friendly host you can imagine and will give you all advice necessary on the menu and wine or beer selection.
