For some reason, food from a truck tastes better. Or at least, is more fun.
The only problem is that food trucks tend to be overpriced, and not necessarily worth the value; with De Luna Taco Grill though, this is not the case.
Their truck is parked on a street that does not get much traffic, so it is a bit hard to find but is worth the search. De Luna opens in the evenings to serve Chicago's Pilsen community with tacos, burritos, and quesadillas stuffed with flavorful punches of perfectly grilled ingredients.
The star of the show is De Luna's "volcano" taco, which is a taco made with spicy poblano pepper and melted cheese. It may be one of the best tacos I've eaten in my life! However, I am giving you a heat warning now - in the best possible way.
Everything always comes out fresh and hot, with a smile from one of the owners. There are a few chairs set outside for those too impatient to wait to eat, as I most definitely am.
