Daisys Tearoom & Garden is a cozy café located in a half-timbered house south of Cologne, on the right bank of the Rhine. Daisys is owned by a friendly German/English couple.
You can go to Daisys without a reservation, but if you want to have an afternoon tea or their Typical English Breakfast, you have to order in advance. Just to give you an idea, their Daisys Traditional Afternoon Tea consists of a pot of tea, salmon and cucumber sandwiches, one sultana scone, strawberry jam, clotted cream, and small cakes. For the English breakfast, you can have a look at my photo at the top of this article. They also offer other breakfast options such as French or vegan.
Afterward, you can have a digestive walk around the Obere Groov lake where, as I did, you will perhaps marvel at the sight of a beaver for quite some time, only to realize that all the while, it was only an invasive muskrat.
