Located on the corner of Capel and Parnell street, this pub is a perfect location to visit after the cinema nearby, or to spend a night out with friends. During the week this is a popular place to have a pint of original Galway Bay after work. By the way, the owner of the Black Sheep is the Galway Bay Brewery, so you get the delicious beer from its first place of origin. You can find over 20 craft beers and imported beers there too!
This bar has quite a big room and can accommodate loads of people although it keeps you feeling cosy with wooden chairs and books along the walls. Currently there is an outdoor seating there as well that you can use - it is sheltered in case of the rain but does not have heating so far.
The Black Sheep on the weekend is usually packed with people from all backgrounds and nationalities, it is also a good spot to spend your birthday for drinks at night. The staff is nice and if you like some snacks - this is also a place to be! A kilogram of tasty chicken wings between a few people with a pint of a chocolate stout - nothing can compete with it in my opinion.
I go to the Black Sheep quite often, so by now I have tried all the main Irish craft beers and moved to Belgian drinks. Try the cherry beer if you get a chance!
