This is Stuart Dickson, co-proprietor of Hoochie Coochie Clothing in Edinburgh's Tollcross area (between the Cameo Cinema and Kings Theatre). With Leanne Scott they've assembled a collection of bright and colourful - some retro, some brand new designs - of mens' and women's shirts, dresses, T's, jumpers, scarves and hats plus low price accessories and jewellery.
You can get an idea from the window dressing of what lies within.
Colour is the order of the day at Hoochie Coochie, and Stuart is as colourful as his clothes. Â He's got plenty of chat and the day I took this picture my wife had just bought two scarves and three hats, all for amazing prices, and he was playing Penguin Cafe Orchestra on the sound system. That's nirvana to me (well, not THAT Nirvana). He was playing a tune by German alt rock, post psychedelia band, Can, the previous week, and a customer broke down in tears because they loved the tune so much.
Because the stock regularly rotates, it's worth dropping in often. It's part of my routine when I go to Edinburgh best cinema, The Cameo, a few doors away.

I had Mushroom and Thyme soup that was astonishingly delicious and homemade Apple and Rhubarb Crumble with Creme Pat Custard that was to die for.
