You are lucky to be in a city that has great Tuscan restaurants on every corner, but have you ever thought of having a real Japanese experience in town? Il Cuore just opened up a few months ago and it has already got itself known to be the real deal! In Italy there are a lot of Japanese restaurants that are not really Japanese, so be careful where you choose to go. Here you can have a taste of a traditional cuisine also because all the staff is from Japan and they also dress in kimonos and bow at every serving.
I had a miso soup, their selection of sushi, maki and sashimi, smoked eggplant in soup and a starter of pickled vegetables that seems to be a traditional plate. There are no fusion dishes, no Philadelphia and no fruit in your sushi, and let me tell you, it’s a different experience. You can try two different types of tasting menu from 28€. The restaurant is cute, the music is also themed. Make sure you have a lot of time – they take it easy, but it is worth the wait. They don’t even put forks on the table. I love it!
