I'm a big fan of our "Schirn Kunsthalle" which always shows different exhibitions from modern or contemporary artists.
After so many beautiful pieces of art one might get hungry and the best and cosiest restaurant or cafe closeby is the "Cafe Metropol". Located just around the corner about a 5 minutes walk. It's not one of these super-stylish-modern-design cafes but rather a nice place to linger, hang out or read a book or newspaper.
Prices and food are down-to-earth (for the city center) with a wide variety: from couscous to schnitzel, Italian pasta or homemade cakes! All dishes are good and I've tested everything. If you're looking for good breakfast spot at the weekend in Frankfurt city center, I recommend you make a reservation at least 2 days in advance, the same goes for dinner from Tuesdays till Sundays. But keep in mind, as is the case almost everywhere in Germany, also here: cash only, no cards accepted, welcome to Germany in 2021...
