About me
I was born in Porto, which was the city I first started exploring with the aim of finding and sharing knowledge about special places – places that you don't (usually) find in the tourist guides.
Meanwhile, I have lived in the Netherlands, in Romania and, more recently, in Germany. In each city I have lived I have tried to go where locals go, eat what they eat, live as they do. All in all, I am a city lover. I take great pleasure in uncovering hidden urban gems and secrets, and when I travel, I also try to get off the beaten track to get a grip of the real city.
I love reading so you will often finding me with a book (or more recently, with my tablet) in hand. I also enjoy listening to music, going to concerts and museums, travelling and meeting friends for drinks and a nice chat. “No man is an island” they say, and with so many interesting persons in the world, I am up for enjoying the social upsides that city life as to offer.
First encounters are my Achilles heel though, so please be patient if I seem awkward to you at first :).
Why Frankfurt?
Frankfurt am Main is the city that took me in the most recently – a city offering far more than meets the eye. What I like the most about it, is how it gradually grows on you. Beyond the concrete grey-coloured boulevards and the skyscrapers, rests a city for all styles, tastes and pockets. Whether you are into fancy bars or traditional breweries, into reading with a nice cup of tea or partying until morning light, in Frankfurt you will find your place.
