Shiny golden handrails, a wooden bar, fresh flowers, black-and-white pictures of Ingrid Bergman and classic movies on the walls: Cinéma is the ideal spot for a cosy and romantic movie theater evening in Frankfurt.
Cinéma is one of three Arthouse movie theaters in Frankfurt that screens movies since 1956. It is conveniently located in the city centre but is well hidden in a small and dark passageway. When you open the main doors, you will be surprised by a bar in the style of a French bistro from the 1920s. You can order their homemade quiche or lemonade or catch a glass of wine before the movie begins.
Cinéma offers three different cinema halls: Lumière is the largest room, spacious and located upstairs. Cine-Studio is a tad smaller and ideal for big movies. My recommendation is Cine-petit downstairs with its living room atmosphere: it fits only 63 people on its red spacious seats and little wooden rail to place your drink and popcorn.
