If you fancy amazing food but don't want to spend a fortune on it, you might enjoy an evening at Club Michel. A friend once told me about it when I told her how much I loved the atmosphere in supper clubs – sitting at long tables and meeting new people. You will get to know the people sitting around you immediately when asking for the free jug of water on the table or the menu card.
It might be tricky to find Club Michel the first time, but that's also part of the experience.
Personally I enjoy LifeSaver on Saturdays, which is vegetarian only. The dishes are so creative and flavorful, that meat-lovers should give it a try as well. The menus are created by the club Michel team and different guest chefs. There are also weekly changing à la carte menus on Fridays and a set menu on Thursdays, usually between €20 - €30 per person with a vegetarian option available.
If you'd like be informed about the choice of food or set menu, you can sign up for their newsletter on the web page.
The atmosphere is homely, warm and personal. The food is fresh and often from local producers. The location is in the middle of a really interesting and changing area of Frankfurt, the Bahnhofsviertel.
If these are the factors you usually look for when choosing a place to spend your evening, try Club Michel.
