There are not as many nice coffee/snack spots in downtown Frankfurt that offer a bit of space as well as some green around you. One location that combines both is Elaine's Deli at the ground floor of Taunusturm, located between the city center and Frankfurt's famous "Bahnhofsviertel".
The sun is shining right down at the spot from late morning until late afternoon, which is also rare in Frankfurt downtown.
Elaine's welcomes you with bright and fresh colors and a long bar, which is necessary as people line up there to order their food and drinks. It is a self-service deli and you should expect some waiting time during lunchtime on weekdays and during brunchtime on weekends. On sunny days, I prefer to sit outside in the area with colorful furniture close to the lawns and a relaxing view into the green and at the banking towers, while my little one is able to run around or use their Bobby-Cars. We have spent several Sundays there from late morning until their closing time already.
The food as well as the drinks are created with love and attention to detail, which is important to me. For mornings, their vegan superfood bowls are great. The sourdough bread with different toppings is a fantastic choice throughout the day. I'm not too much into wraps, but there are several options available as well.
Most importantly (to me), the coffee is really worth the wait for it, and the (slightly pricey) wine selection is totally my taste.
