For some years a lot of people have been telling me about the Frankfurter Küche but I never managed to go there. Now after five years I finally got the chance and I was really surprised!
Usually all these typical Hessian restaurants in Frankfurt are traditionally furnished with a lot of kitsch and a smell of back-then. But this restaurant is different. Uncomplicated, without frills, with a clear design but nevertheless with real authentic food from Frankfurt. Plus it is quite affordable and less oriented towards tourists, if you compare it with the the restaurants in Sachsenhausen.
Right across the street you can see our new European Central Bank growing on the site of the former "Großmarkthalle" (wholesale market hall).
Go for the "Grüne Soße with Schnitzel and Bratkartoffeln" the portions are quite big and the quality of food is excellent! From September on they will offer again the Sunday morning brunch from 09:00 till 15:00.
