This is one of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt. Especially when it's cold and grey outside. The food is always perfect on a high level -- French but still down to earth. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is always of organic quality accompanied by seasonal vegetables. The menu changes every week and I've never been disappointed.
The interior gives an impression of the gold old 70s: clean, but also used and experienced were my first thoughts when I first stepped in 5 years ago.
"A simple truth" is written on a picture at the wall fully paneled in wood. That goes for both: the food and complete interior.
I don't really know if it is part of their concept or not, but they still don't accept credit cards nor any cash card. Very unusual for a restaurant in that range. Be sure to take enough cash with you or maybe they might accept your help as a dish washer.
Not cheap at all, but worth the money and a nice spot for a dinner for 2.
It's better to make a reservation at least 1 day before.
