I love starting my weekends off slow by having an extended breakfast/lunch once I get up. If you share my passion for French pastry, I’d suggest you try “Le Bistrot 66”, a mix of a cafe, bakery and bistro. The location has changed its name, owner and style a few times over the last years, but has always kept its product mix- seems like the demand for pastries is quite high in my neighborhood.
The spot is located in Frankfurt’s Westend, right at the U-Bahn station “Westend.”
The recently updated interior is kept in dark tones with a chic black marble counter and tables in combination with chairs in industrial style and chandeliers. There are plenty of deliciously looking croissants, brioches, tartes and freshly baked bread in the displays and the impressive coffee machine draws your attention directly.
The menu for lunch has an Italian influence with burrata, pasta or tagliata, but also tartes flambées, salads and soups. You will be able to satisfy both your sweet and savoury cravings.
The outside area is covered and blankets are offered on colder days, in case you’d rather enjoy your order with fresh air.
