Among several good sushi restaurants in Frankfurt, Moriki is an experience in itself which I warmly recommend to everyone really in love with that dish. Starting from the artfully prepared dishes (not just sushi) to the friendly, attentive and good-looking staff and to the great selection of German and international wines. They also hold a large variety of sake, but I'm not familiar with the different tastes.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Deutsche Bank Building- you wouldn't expect a restaurant here without knowing beforehand. The outdoor seating area is covered by one edge of the building and hidden behind bamboo plants. While sitting outside, you tend to forget that one of the busiest roads through Frankfurt passes right by you.
The centre inside is formed by the sushi bar, where you can watch the sushi masters preparing the orders.
There are different areas to sit: tables in various sizes, the larger ones partially next to huge sofas and a lounge area with lower tables.
Try the chili edamame as a starter while choosing your orders. Concerning sushi, there is a classic menu, but I'd recommend you go for the extreme roll selection, like "Mr duck's best friend" or "miss lee's favourite". If you aren't stuffed yet after x rounds of sushi, try the mango-coconut creme for dessert before rolling home.
Moriki might not be the cheapest spot. But you won't regret your visit. A reservation especially on weekends or with larger groups is recommended!
