When it comes to craft beer in Frankfurt, many people will be quick to recommend Naiv (and for good reason -- you can review Nina’s review here). However, if you happen to find yourself on the other side of the city, I can highly recommend Normal Kneipe, as it has a great selection to choose from.
What I particularly like about Normal Kneipe is it’s old school look. It feels like a distant cousin of the classical German Pilsstube (beer bar) with its wood panel walls and retro furniture. However, the beer menu is clearly tailored with younger patrons in mind. It’s typical to see a wide range of ages here, which gives Normal Kneipe a bit of a timeless feel.
This is the kind of place I love to come to on a Friday after work, order a strong stout and play a few hands of cards.
If you enjoy craft beer and are looking for a place that’s casual, Normal Kneipe is a great place to check out.
