Mama & Zita is a newly opened restaurant that was opened in January 2020. It's one of the very few restaurants that are as bright on the inside as on the outside thanks to the big glass windows on 2 sides.
The neighborhood of Nations is filled with a lot of UN and Permanent Mission professionals who work in this area during the weekdays work-times, and there has been a lack of Mediterranean cuisine options around; this place is a perfect addition to the many Asian restaurants in the vicinity.
They got limited vegan options but the owner is very helpful (he comes to you to take the order himself - he is Moroccan) and he is more than willing to replace your non-vegan options with a vegan one (if possible).
My colleague tried the tuna tajine and she loved it - mind you, she is Moroccan so this must mean quite something. I cannot recommend their Focaccia highly enough - it's so well made, I felt for a second it was Italian...
