I immediately felt like I was in a real Sri Lankan family home the first time a friend of mine brought me over to this cozy restaurant called Shiva, located only a few steps from my apartment in La Jonction area. It was love at first sight!!
Since then, it became one of my favourite spots for a dinner out in Geneva, one of those places where you know, that no matter what, you won’t come back home disappointed!
The place is small, simple but very authentic, as is the food they serve.
Following the recommendations of my friend, originally from Sri Lanka, I had the chance to try many different specialities, all super tasty and very filling. The portions are extremely generous and they will please even the biggest of appetites!
Worth a mention from their menu: the fish cutlets, the lamb rolls, as well as the amazing kottu parotta with lamb, and for vegetarians, the dosas and thalis.
And if you are close to Geneva train station, craving some Sri Lankan food, why not try their recently opened second restaurant in Servette area (rue Tronchin)? Enjoy!
