Each bar needs a name and in this case, it is Bar Jan Cremer. I guess the owner is a fan of the Dutch artist and writer Jan Cremer, but I'm not really sure about this. It's situated in the middle of the student neighborhood, between Overpoort and Sint-Pietersplein. Kramersplein used to be a very unattractive parking lot, but recent reconstruction works changed it into a relaxing square.
At Bar Jan Cremer they offer a variety of cold and warm drinks and they also have some snacks. The sweet stuff is made by their relatives at Atelier Plus in the city center. Before or after a visit to the Sint-Pieter Abbey this could be the ideal spot for a break. Watch me lying in one of their beach chairs after work!
