If you're searching for real good ice cream, you'll probably travel to Italy and not to Ghent. Well, I have good news for you. You can visit our lovely city and still enjoy the great Italian ice cream.
Binda De Zordo grew up in a Belgian-Italian family of ice cream makers and continues the tradition of his grandfather (Nonno). He recently started his own shop in Ghent and though they don't have a great variety, it's all very fresh and tasty. Beside the regular flavors, they sometimes have some new ones to try out, like apple pie & mascarpone, tiramisu, yoghurt & apple, fiordilatte, crema Nonno, noci & sale, etc.
I have to admit that I'm addicted to ice cream. After living in Vienna for some time I was spoiled with good quality ice cream. When I returned here I was mostly disappointed about the quality, so I was very happy to discover Nonno. The only bad thing is that they close on Sunday, but I can survive one day without.
