Ruchill Park is one of Glasgow's most overlooked parks, about 20 minutes walk from the closest two subway stations (Hillhead and Kelbinbridge), the park provides excellent green space for walking, communal frisbee golf nets and an epic 360⁰ view of the surrounding areas.
On the ascent up to the viewpoint from the park, the footpath turns into a spiraling climb, surrounded by trees, up a steep hill with a bench at the top of it alongside the flagpole. From here you can see all the way to the buildings of the city centre, across the west end of Glasgow and into the mountains north of Glasgow.
I love this spot because it reminds me of what a vast and diverse city Glasgow is, and it is rare to be able to see so far in a city with areas that are so built up.
