Do you know these old movies where beautiful people pass by advertising columns in nice historic city centers (like Hamburg, which has not really a historical center)? No? Well, you could go and see this nice column just at the pedestriant walk at the Lombards bridge downtown. And enjoy it. It won't change its display every 10 seconds so it is a soothing view and you'll get into the things coming up in the city. I enjoy getting my information here while seeing over the inner Alster lake and watch people taking photos from the bridge. Which holds old school beautiful lighting as well, by the way. So come here, dress up in style and take some old school pictures for your friends at home. The Hamburg scenery in the background is worth it. In the summer you see the fountain in the middle of the lake just behind the column and during holiday season the big christmas tree. Both are funded privately by the way.
