The word Blattgold means gold leaf, and I immediately associate it with a touch of royalty and extravagance. And I think that suits this small restaurant with the beautiful old tiles on the wall perfectly.
The restaurant is in the middle of the street Schulterblatt in the lively Sternschanze area, so it's a convenient place to start the night with a good meal and after that explore the area and probably enjoy some drinks.
The menu is small but really delicious and beautifully presented (a big plus for me: exclusively vegetarian/vegan!). I can highly recommend the eggplant schnitzel and the Belsazar Rose & Tonic!
The restaurant is also open during the day, and you can have a tasty breakfast/lunch there or enjoy a piece of cake :) Another bonus point: their coffee is from elbgold, a nice local coffee roastery.
