During summertime, I could spend all day splashing my feet in the water while enjoying an ice cold drink or some great food – all of this can now be found at my new favorite beach club, Monkey Beach. The bar is located on a pontoon in the posh (and beautiful!) area of Winterhude. However, there is nothing stuck-up about this place. Surrounded by the idyllic canal, you can lounge on comfy chairs or pillows between palm trees while relaxing to some reggae music and watching the boats and stand-up paddlers passing by.
It is easy to forget about time at this place and in case you get hungry after sipping your third “Alster” (beer and sprite) or Gin Tonic, you have to try their mouthwatering bowls! At Monkey Beach you will be served delicious-tasting and -looking poké bowls carefully arranged by the crew from Kailua Poké. What else do you need for your perfect summer day?
