In St. Pauli, close to the famous Reeperbahn, you‘ll find a little bar called Lorsin Art Bar. The bar that used to be located in the old Erotic Art Museum now moved a little closer to the party street.

The Lorsin Art Bar is run by an original Hamburg lady called Lorsin. She functions as a mother, talking to everyone and making sure everyone is feeling their best. The bar is not too crowded – not even on weekends, when it‘s often hard to find a place to stand (let alone sit) in the many bars and pubs of St. Pauli. That’s one of the man reasons why I love to go to Lorsin Art Bar – there is always enough room for my friends and me. They offer free snacks and decent priced drinks.

While having a beer or „Sexikaner“ at the Museum Bar, the experience of erotic art will not come up short. Every wall (and even the bathroom and ceiling) is plastered with collages and paintings – the art is not for the faint-hearted! Lorsin also sells the art and puts up new items, so chances are you’ll see new pictures every time you’re there.

I often use the Lorsin Art Bar as a starting point to go on the nightly adventures on Reeperbahn. Some nights my friends and I end up staying there the whole night… Having a drink with Lorsin at her bar is a great place to hang out and experience the original Hamburg.
