This is the place for children in one of the biggest parks in Hamburg. The so-called Stadtpark (City Park) has not only vast green meadows, sculptures, trees and our planetarium but also some serious playground for children.
Well, you know, I love children and write books for them, and if I want to see them in their natural habitat, I go to the paddle pond. Around the pond you can find a nice place to lay your towel in the sand or, a little further away, take a bench or the meadows. Anyhow you'll find excited children who splash, run and if they get tired go back to their parents and ask for some coins to get an ice cream from the small parlour around. I love the holiday atmosphere there.
