The place to buy or drink wine in the neighbourhood of Eimsbüttel is the Vineyard to me. Mostly I come with friends to drink wine in this old storage building that lies a little off of Osterstrasse, the main shopping street of this area. Inside, it is always crowded in the evening, and usually we share tables with other people. The seating is a little like at Oktoberfest, but with wine and more chilled people. During winter there is a fire burning at the rear part of the huge room.
The thing about the wine here is the following: they sell wine from nearly any wine region of the world and you buy the bottle for retail price. Then they charge an additional "Korkgeld" (corkage/service fee) which includes 0.75L of water and as many glasses as you want. The wines are usually good and the service explains what you can expect and lets you taste as well. It is my perfect place for tasting delicious grape varieties. You can order small snacks as well and typical German supper: bread, sausages and cheese (all cold). I love it!
Check their website if you wish to just buy the wine, the shop opens and closes earlier and the times I give to you are for the bar.
