Pub Heinähattu, "Heinis" as it is known among locals, is definitely one of my favorite bars around. If you are looking for a place to spend a nice and quiet evening, Pub Heinähattu is definitely not the place. But if you like to spend your nights in crowded and noisy bars with always something happening, it is a good choice!
The thing with Pub Heinähattu is that it looks like a traditional cheap Kallio bar that the neighborhood is full of, but actually it is something else. First of all, it is not the cheapest around. But in return it has a nice selection of drinks, often special beers on tap that you can get only there. Second, what makes Pub Heinähattu special, is its customers. Pub Heinähattu is popular among local punks and has gathered a group of loyal customers, so when you get in you'll soon notice that everybody, including the staff, seems to know each other. This creates a nice and unique atmosphere which sometimes might to get a little wild, I'll admit.
There are also occasional gigs and DJ nights in Pub Heinähattu, so it is worth it to check their Facebook-page for info.
