Stadi is a nickname for Helsinki in local slang. Panimo means brewery. And since 2015 our local micro brewery has had its own little bar serving their own treats on tap, accompanied by a hefty variety of imported bottles.
We are usually after something we haven’t tasted before, so it was nice to find so many different Geuzes and Lambics for example. They told us that the plan is to focus on one country at a time, buy small special batches and then move on. That’s a good idea, I think. At the moment they’ve covered Belgium and the U.S.A. But if you have not tasted Dutch beers by DeMolen yet for example make your way here and do it. And there’s a tap takeover by a Lithuanian micro brewery and beers from Portugal most recently.
Stadin Panimo brewery bar is located exactly at the spot where Flow festival usually takes place. It’s a rugged, former energy production area with two large gasometers and all kinds of events every now and then. I really like the area and the bar is cosy as well. Cheers!
