When I need a place to work, this is where I go to. The Blum Coffee House is conveniently located in the beautiful neighborhood of Maçka in Istanbul, in the middle of the hill towards Nişantaşı. The deal here is excellent service, reliable wifi, and a distraction-free environment.
The decoration inside is very nice, clean and inviting. The cafe’s bohemian-meets-industrial look perfectly matches the health-conscious menu. They are well stocked with healthy and tasty desserts, and serve gourmet sandwiches, salads and a gluten-free vegetable quiche as well. The Gluten-free Almond, Ricotta and Lemon Cake is legendary for me personally, but what attracts the majority of the customers is the flourless San Sebastian cheesecake.
The co-owners are very nice and open to chat. I like that they are friendly, but still focus on their job at hand.
The coffee they serve has nothing fancy but it's decent and delicious. Kombucha, lemonade and organic juices are also available as alternatives to coffee.
Last but not least, keep in mind that this is a perfect place to take perfect Instagram photos. They have two swing chairs inside which are not just relaxing but also hipster enough to attract social media likes. :)
Overall, it's a really nice place to spend a day working or for brunch/coffee with a friend.
