About me
My name is Seyda. I am a professional dreamer and a part-time traveller.
Apart from that, I have been in the textile industry working as a Brand Manager. My father's side comes from Macedonia but I was born and raised in one of the most beautiful cities: Istanbul.
I do very much like travelling to new places in the world, watching sci-fi movies, practising yoga and tai-chi, reading fashion magazines, tasting different cuisines... I am also interested in designing jewellery.
Why Istanbul?
I have been to over 15 different cities in the world and Istanbul is still on the top of my list. I've never thought about leaving my hometown and live anywhere else.
Istanbul simply fascinates people with its dynamism and diversity. It is a city which is alive 24/7 and you can always find a spot to fit your mood. Turkish people are well known for their warm hospitality that will make new visitors feel more welcome.
It is still so nice to see both worlds, even in the posher areas! :) It is so much fun living in this vivid place, despite ts traffic jams and 17 million people.
"Craft Beer Lab" in Istanbul is a brand new pub with a big beautiful garden and a huge selection of beers. I know where I'll be brining my friends now!

"Sobremesa Coffee" in Istanbul's Besiktas: great for meeting friends w/ coffee or working on the laptop. Its name is a Spanish word which is a perfect fit!

"Maezae" is my must-visit place whenever I am in Istanbul's Karakoy. I can just spend hours and hours in this lovely, inspiring local design store...
By
"Gaziantepli Tahir Usta" in Istanbul makes kebap in the special way they make them in Gaziantep. Don't be scared by the kind-of-shabby-looking interior!
By
"Tahin" in Istanbul is a Lebanese restaurant that meets my high expectations! Don't forget to try the ayran with mint and the tahini with honey and walnut!
By
"Damla Pide" in Istanbul's Kadikoy (specifically, traditional Yel değirmeni) is a little restaurant famous for its pide & lahmacun. As local as it gets.
By
"Bishop Yesilkoy" close to Istanbul's airport, is a great traditional Turkish restaurant. If you're staying close to the airport, I can fully recommend it!
