My friends asked me once to take them to the most local place, where they would truly feel the city vibe. Eszeweria was my top-of-mind café.
Eszeweria is located in the heart of Kazimierz, and by far it can be called the café that resembles the spirit of the quarter better than any other pub in the area (maybe besides Alchemia). Smoking is allowed in most rooms (although there are a few tables in the non-smoking area).
What makes Eszaweria a Kazimierz gem?
There's no simple answer to this question. During the warmer months, they open an atmospheric garden that's filled with the smell of fresh lilies. A little bit tarnished mirrors and walls loom through the cigarette smoke. Vintage furniture, antiques, and old photos hang from the walls and students and older people sip coffee, roll cigarettes, and smoke them sluggishly.
That's what Eszeweria is all about. Probably the most bohemian café in Kazimierz.
Menu - essentials
One doesn't come to Eszeweria to taste specialty coffee or top-notch cocktails. One comes there to taste Kazimierz. To slow down and let time pass by. That's why there's no paper version of the menu - the one written on the wall has absolutely everything you need. There are hot drinks including coffee and a variety of tea. The alcoholic drink menu consists of simple options (wine, beer, simple cocktails/drinks).
