Kamienna Bistro is one of the newest entries to Krakow's gastro scene. It is located next to the old freight station and a newer tram terminal right next to the Old Kleparz park. It has not yet become very popular amongst locals but is slowly gaining a good reputation.
The restaurant has two levels but I prefer sitting on the ground floor. On this floor, there are big windows facing the railway tracks. Every few minutes, a tram goes by which provides a view as pretty as a picture.
The chef at Kamienna is young and passionate about the menu he serves. It often happens that he comes to the table himself and asks for feedback which I really appreciate. I don't usually order the same main course because I like to try new options but I always order feta cheese with honey. When I am here I also like taking home a homemade sourdough bread.
I recently found out that they offer a 2-course lunch during weekdays so I can't wait to pay them a visit and try it out.
