Before crossing the threshold of LUZEM zero waste shop, I had no idea just how many everyday use products can be easily refilled, without having to buy yet another plastic bottle, or another cardboard box. At Luzem, you can restock everything from grains and cooking oil to dish soap and dishwasher tabs. On top of that, the owners are more than willing to advise you on how to make some of that on your own!
What I love most about Luzem is that it’s quite clear they’re truly living that conscious life, rather than responding to a trend. The store works with small manufactures who are willing to deliver their products in reusable packaging. Moreover, after Luzem empties the containers they send it back to the manufacturers and they fill it up again, so the cycle closes and nothing goes to waste! Plus, Luzem collects so-called ‘boomerang packaging’ – that’s jars, boxes, bags, anything that’s lying around your house and clogging your space. You can bring it to the shop and share it with other customers, who might need some of that!
It is worth to mention, that Luzem offers home deliveries above 100zł and they bring your shopping by bike. On top of all that, prices are reasonable, especially compared to other ‘eco’ stores in the city. Pro-tip: the store offers a 5% discount if the customer brings their own container. So pack your jars, it’s time to restock your cabinets more consciously!
