There is nothing like enjoying a meal or drink in a beautiful city on a rooftop as the sun is setting. Malecon offers its clients all of this with a backdrop of Wawel Castle and the Wisla River at your footsteps. A place that doesn't advertise much, most people know about this place through word of mouth or as in my situation find it by accident. I enjoy dropping by with friends for drinks and a view but have also come on my own with a book and enjoyed some coffee and sunset.
The menu offers a range of options from burgers to more traditional food and there is an extensive drinks and wine menu. Despite the location and scenic views the prices here are very decent and won't hurt your wallet. Although not a Polish dish I enjoy the quesadillas here.
For those wanting to take advantage of the views, Malecon is located on the ground floor of the Hotel Pod Wawelem however the rooftop is accessed through the lobby and by taking the elevator to the last floor.
