After I started a new job, I finally got a chance to properly explore what’s happening north of Kraków’s Old Town. What is hardly a surprise, I started from speciality coffee shops. It didn’t take long before I found a gem – Słodko i czule is sweet and tender indeed, as its name promises.
The interior design got me hooked from the moment I stepped inside. Neon lights plus a plant wall, cobalt blue plush seats plus pretty posters hanging around – all this added up for an inviting combination.
Słodko i czule started from vegan and healthy sweets. You can choose from a wide range of treats, including their plant-based takes on Polish classics. How about wuzetka, a chocolate cream pie, or vegan jagodzianki – sweet blueberry buns? Your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied!
What I also like about Słodko i czule is the unusual choice of coffee beans. They often serve delicious picks from different European roasteries that are usually not available in other coffee spots in town. If you feel like trying some local roasteries from Kraków, Słodko i czule has them too.
I’ve always enjoyed walking around Plac Inwalidów. I loved the park and the beautiful modernist architecture. Now I’ve got another reason – a coffee spot to come back to!
