Vegan burgers don't shock anybody anymore, but let's be honest: how often do you see a vegan kebab joint? And what if I told you it's a really, really good one - one that my meat-loving friends very often choose over regular kebab places? Ladies and gents, welcome to Vegab, a place that took Kraków's plant-based culinary scene to a whole new level.
The first thing that came to my mind when I heard of it was "wow, wonderful, but what is the meat produced with?" Vegab is proud of its signature mix made of tofu, legumes and some secret ingredients that make it the best meat substitute I've tried so far. But it's the entire composition that steals the show – the current menu is inspired by the best flavours from all over the world. From hummus and tahini-soaked Beirut to Aloha topped with mango chutney and pineapple, the Vegabs are more than just fast-food – they're an absolutely delicious concept to experience.
All the goodness is tucked in a really small place, located more or less in a place where Kazimierz meets the Old Town. To sum up, Vegab is one of the street food spots I visit on a regular basis – and I'm sure it'll leave you wanting to come back, too!
