For many people, Jardim do Campo Grande is closely linked with imagery of its lake and boat trips from childhood. I did not grow up in Lisbon and therefore just found this wonder in my adulthood.
But the boat trips are not the only thing you can find in the middle of Jardim do Campo Grande and its lake.
The beautiful lake building has been restored and now houses the 'CASA do Lago', a bar/restaurant with a more privileged location. In the centre of the lake, it dominates the surrounding landscape with a large esplanade perfect for sunny days. The menu diverges between solutions for a light meal or a full meal. There are hamburgers, omelettes and salads but also dishes for a more complete lunch or dinner.
But the best option is to combine the boat trip with a passage from the terrace and to have a coffee. It's one of the most amazing things to do in the city of Lisbon, as it is a super city - young, dynamic and surprisingly calm at the same time.
And of course, it is only one of the pleasant surprises that this city has reserved for you.
