In the north of Portugal César Castro is a reference in the area of (professional) cooking equipment. The company has supplied hotels, restaurants, caterers and cooking enthusiasts for over 40 years. Since I myself fit in the latter category, you can imagine how pleased I was to find out that they set up shop in Lisbon in 2013.
They are located 100 meters from the Saldanha Square, still downtown but not where most tourists go.
The store is, of course, very nice. Here you can find a wide range of international and national brands of cooking equipment. From pots to knives and everything in between. You can also find a wide range of more "typical" utensils that you will probably not find that easily outside of Portugal (think "cataplana" for instance). So if you loved the Portuguese food and want to try to make it at home, drop by here to get the right tools. The staff is very professional and friendly.
If you like to cook please come and have a look!
