I am perfectly aware that nowadays, if you want to be accepted, you need to enjoy a brunch here and there and post a photo on Instagram (otherwise, it did not happen!). As for me, I don’t really appreciate going out to stuff myself with food so I can only leave the place if someone helps me roll out, but I do enjoy a great croissant, the best made pancakes or a very well served cafe latte. Whether you are like me or you belong to the first group of people, I strongly believe that Choupana Caffe will please you.
Choupana Caffe has two locations at your disposal, both of them with an outside esplanade, besides the main place: one at Avenida da República (which is very central) and the other one is at the cruise terminal, near Estação de Santa Apolónia. This last one is smaller and has fewer customers – thus less noise and confusion.
As I already mentioned, you can either go to Choupana Caffe for a full brunch which, in my opinion, is the best in town, or just to pick a savory or sweet meal. My favorite will always be any croissant and fresh juice of the day, but the scones… oh, the scones make me think twice about it.
I recommend you to go there yourself and try to decide which choice is the best.
