How do I start? I just returned from Japan and saw a video on Instagram about Magokoro Ramen. I felt really attracted to it. It resembled most of the decoration and interiors I've witnessed in Japanese restaurants, extremely detailed. So I decided to give it a try.
And it was amazing! Close to Santa Apolónia's Station, a very unexpected place to be. But when you get to the restaurant, for those square meters, it seems like you have instantly travelled to Japan. The decoration is superb! They got everything they could from every restaurant in Japan and put it there. And only the decoration, and I mean it, is reason enough to go there. The Owner, Sunny, is Chinese. And as a Japanese culture lover, she decided to open a Ramen restaurant that screams 'Japan!'.
Anyway, it's all about Ramen. Magokoro, which translates to "sincerity, pure heart, uprightness", deliver a variety of very delicious Ramen. So far, I've tried the fried Gyoza, Karaage chicken (a must!) and Wakame, which is a seaweed salad and surprisingly delicious, besides the Ramen, which I cannot specify which one it was. As in Japan, I guided myself by the pictures on the menu, but so far, everything was really good. For dessert, Mochi. And to drink - Asahi beer.
And Welcome to Japan!
