RD’s could be just another Nepalese restaurant in Lisbon… but it is actually THE Nepalese restaurant in the city. It is a very simple place (not fancy at all!), but it serves great and cheap food by a very welcoming staff.
The menu is not exactly diverse – 2 options of starters and a few main dishes – but everything they serve is delicious. They also make sure to have vegetarian options for almost every dish they offer, so it is a very “easy” place where you can just say: “I’d like a half/half portion of momos – 5 chicken, 5 veg” and they will get it promptly.
Personally, I love the momos in every version: the momo soup, vegetarian momo, chicken momo, pork momo…. they are very tasty and particularly on a budget. It is important to get a reservation at least of day in advance, though. The place gets crowded every day, even on Mondays D:!
I love the sense that everyone that lives nearby and already discovered this restaurant passes by frequently just to get something and take it home, or to sit for a while and have a beer with a starter after work during the week. Locals really adore the place.
You won’t regret trying RD’s. Enjoy!
