Yes, it’s another restaurant, it’s not Portuguese food and it’s one of many Indian/Asian in Lisbon. But it’s one I love; Taste of Punjab serves great food for a very reasonable price that you can share for two, starting with two samusas (also great ones by the way). And the owners are so friendly!
I come here often with my companion Fatinha to share a dish between the various specialities they serve; we usually choose lamb, but you have a choice between beef, chicken and vegetarian. We start with samusas and share a dish that comes with a big mountain of white, aromatic Basmati rice.
This restaurant is very close to the Largo dos Trigueiros square that I mention in several other articles and it’s close to where I live.
The reason I’m pointing out this restaurant is for the great food and kindness of the owners; it’s not a modern, fancy, crowded tourist place — it’s a place where you can eat comfortably, take your time and enjoy the neighbourhood time passing by.
