Tinta nos Nervos is an independent gallery & bookstore located in a very pleasant neighborhood (Madragoa/Santos), surrounded by other interesting places to explore: gardens, restaurants, cafes and bars (check the article "727 Bus Lisbon - a journey through the real Lisbon" - this bus lets you off nearby!)
I came to know the place when I was at the Lisbon's Book Fair in 2021 and they had a stand there selling some publications. As I am a fan of graphic novels and comic books, the guy working at the stand really recommended that I went to their bookstore to check their work, and I was not disappointed!
It is a place that's really dedicated to the drawing arts, so you will find the best known comic books there but also independently published works, books for children and art exhibitions. The best part is that they do not only have publications in Portuguese - actually, they have a great collection of materials in English, French, etc.
They also have a small terrace with a cafe and sometimes they hold events and workshops. You can count on good recommendations from the staff and be sure that you will leave the place satisfied with a new book!
