There's a new rooftop bar in town and the hipster in me whispered: - "It's the new thing in town... everyone's talking about it so you have to check it out! Do you wanna feel like you're being left behind?" - "Hell no!"
And so I spent 2 weeks growing out my beard, reading books about old school skateboards, watching black and white movies, restoring old furniture, listening to bands such as "Peanuts & suicide ducks in the toilet", eating only carrots with honey and organic pomegranate juice... What a week!
It was on a Saturday when I decided to hit the city with my girlfriend. We arrived at Martim Moniz Square, called up the elevator and prayed...
And I have to say, wow! Double Wow!!! Surprisingly not only the view, but the food, the drinks... I surrendered unconditionally to the breathtaking view over the old quarters, the Castle... the square at our feet. We ordered some starters: Gyoza, Chicken Satay... I just have to say it's been a while since I had such great food with a view like this! They also have great cocktails. I had one with gin, black pepper and basil, which was amazing!
Oh, and what about the cherry on top? No hipsters... yet! And one more thing, if you googled that band... Sorry to disappoint you. It doesn't exist... yet!
