Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the legendary pubs in Ljubljana lies only 2 bus stops from what we call the center. As the name suggests, translated as Fiddler or Musician Pub, Godec owners love music, and this is how Godec became known: music. You won't hear radio programs there but strictly rock 'n' roll beats. And this hasn't changed in twenty years.
What did change is the beer offer. In the last few years, Godec Pub added many new beers on tap or bottled, but what is interesting is that they are not focusing solely on Slovenian crafters but more on foreign beers. Their cooperation with the next-door beer shop gives them exclusive offers on some barrels for a good price.
They don't have a kitchen but offer an amazing homemade salami, which, prepare for this one, comes from Sevnica, the hometown of Melania Trump, ex-First Lady of the USA, and also the hometown of one of the owners.
If you are one of those in search of analog times, Godec is your place. No WiFi, no TV nor TripAdvisor sticker. And we love it for that. The only thing that changed lately is that now bank cards are accepted.
