With a rustic French feel, Pierre is all exposed wood and busy walls. Candles light the tables and guests are packed around in tight huddles of murmured conversation and excitement.
It's rare to see this restaurant without bustle, and no surprise too, given that it does two courses of very tasty, authentic French fare for £17.50. This is the ultimate pre or post-theatre meal on a budget without sacrificing the quality or pure vibes.
Opened in 1998 Pierre Victoire writes out its specials on a chalkboard which sees regular changes to the offering meaning the set menu selection has something fresh and exciting every time you visit. Expect dishes with rich red-wine sauces and tasty meats from much of the spectrum of the French culinary roster.
